In this blog I won’t be focusing on the steps you need to follow to run ads but I will be focusing on how to run ads efficiently. First, let’s understand the structure of Facebook ads. It has 3 parts: a campaign, ad set, and ad.

  • While creating a campaign you let Facebook know your objective in creating the advertisement. For example brand awareness, reach,app installs,traffic,conversions,etc.By providing this Facebook can strategies your ad in order for it to perform well.
  • Next is to create the ad set, here you determine the demographics of the audience you are targeting. For example location, profession, educational qualification, interests, etc.
  • And then you will have to create your ad for your target audience to see and engage with it. It’s important to make it as attractive as possible in order for the engagement to happen. You can add images, text, and videos, but make sure to add a call-to-action button.

If you are clear with these concepts then you can run ads easily on any other social media platform. Knowing how to run ads on Facebook efficiently is more important than just knowing how to run ads on Facebook. The main focus should be on the target audience

If you have a running business and have historic data on your target audience then you can assess the data and make a decision on whom to show the ads. Always keep an eye on trends and do experiments on demographics till you get maximum conversions. Deeply research about the industry and looking into the organic traffic will help you in refining your target audience

If you are a new business and have no historic data to depend on then you will have to follow the following steps:-

  • Spend less money on ads in the beginning as we haven’t discovered our true target audience and the initial few ads should be for experimental purposes.
  • While creating the first ad target it to the audience with your logic and assumption and try to take a little bit of bias value, for example, if you think the age group 25 to 45 should be targeted then take a bias of 5 – 10 years, that is target 18 to 65. By doing this you will have data on which age group is providing maximum conversions.
  • Once you have enough data to rely on, then you can start increasing your budget and maximizing your result.
